Born in Pembrokeshire in 1985, Claire graduated with 1st class honors from the Royal College of Music in London. She was one of the first recipients of the Prince of Wales Advanced Study Awards in 2007 and 2008, recognising her as one of Wales's most outstanding young talents. From 2007 to 2011, Claire was Official Harpist to HRH the Prince of Wales and regularly performed for the Royal Family and distinguished guests at the Royal Palaces.

The Sterling Trio was formed at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2006 and has since established itself as an exciting, innovative and engaging chamber ensemble. Selected artists for the 2013-14 Making Music Concert Promoters' Group Brochure, the Trio pride themselves on a creative and versatile approach to music-making, striving for the highest standard of performance both as musicians and communicators.

London-based Australian-British pianist Jayson Gilham captured the hearts and interest of music lovers across Britain with his performances in the 2012 Leeds International Piano Competition.   As a finalist he performed Beethoven’sEmperor Concerto with the Halle and conductor Sir Mark Elder in the Leeds Town Hall.


Elder commented about Jayson’s playing:  “He makes a very strong, firm sound, different from all the other [finalists].   He plays Beethoven in a very open, honest, secure way – with a sort of ‘glow’….Always a lovely sound – gorgeous.”

Named BBC Music Magazine ‘Rising Star’, Alexandra Dariescu made her debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York, where she joined András Schiff during his “Perspectives” residency. Alexandra performs regularly in the UK with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Hallé, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Sinfonia ViVA, and the Northern Sinfonia.
